该剧讲述原本在北城警局工作的探长马可，因为特殊原因被下调到清城县协助调查儿童人口失踪案的工作，没想到这个看似简单偏远的小县城发生着不同寻常的故事。马可刚到清城县就遇到了招摇撞骗的核心人物风水先生，接着便发生了一起离奇命案。警局代理局长严水清早就听说过马可是个破案高手，没想到马可的破案方式和逻辑思维与其格格不入，让人难以理解，这也是警局所有人另眼相看的原因。慢慢的严水清被马可的行动能力所折服开始认同这个人，没想到自己还喜欢上了马可。一宗命案背后牵扯着悬疑离奇的众多儿童失踪案，没想到著名神探也有看走眼的时候，在人性本能和亲情面前，马可居然失算了！
