女子戒毒所收监着许多女吸毒者。无正当职业，语言尖刻的陈丽，19岁的音乐学院学生罗童童，性格脆弱，最后自杀身亡。性格开朗的个体户阿晴，后来知道自己怀孕，决心戒毒。林芳菲是电大毕业生，因丈夫有外遇而吸毒。进戒毒所后不吃不喝，拒绝与医生合作。李娟，自称是外地来的演员，自愿来戒毒，话很少，给人阴毒的感觉。戒毒所医生陆虹克尽职守对待病人，还积极协助公安局查找“七妹”钱老板也注意到戒毒所这个目标。香港的14K组织也派其成员张国文潜入内地。张原是陆医生的情人，后去香港并加入黑社会组织。陆虹被其虚情假意软化，还被害得染上毒瘾。张国文利用自己与陆虹的关系，去04病房时找到了“七妹”，以20万港元为交换条件，通过陆虹，把04病房的病人用汽车接走。
